Chelsea vs. Napoli

What an amazing and intense game. From the first whistle to the last, players from both teams went balls to the wall and did everything in their power to win the game. After the first game, Napoli was ahead an aggregate 3-1 over Chelsea. The first ten minutes were like most games, players getting the feeling of the other team and getting a few shots on goal. Then, in the 28th minute of the game, Ramires sends the perfect ball into flying Drogba with the perfect head goal. Chelsea 1-0 Napoli (28). Yellow card after yellow card, shot after shot, roll after roll, the game continues. However, on another Chelsea attack J. Terry comes into the equation and with a stunning run after a corner kick he is able to flick it perfectly over the Napoli keeper into the side netting with his head. Chelsea was now tied on aggregate 3-3. But, doubts came upon the blues when Napoli player G. Inler takes a perfect touch off the chest in the 55th minute after a poor clearance by the Chelsea defense and on a half-volley puts it through three Chelsea defenders into the lower pocket and Napoli was back on top on aggregate 4-3. Half time comes with craziness in the locker rooms but both teams come back fired up and in the 75th minute Frank Lampard steps up to take a penalty kick and rockets it right past the keeper and Chelsea is all tied up again on aggregate. Chance after chance, the game rolls into overtime with Fernando Torres blazing in up top. Miraculously, Ivanovic from Chelsea makes a great run from the back and finds himself at the 105th minute yelling and screaming knowing that he has scored the winning goal to put Chelsea through to the quarter finals. Final Score: Chelsea 4-1 Napoli / Aggregate: Chelsea 5-4 Napoli.

First Post

I play on a U15 Division 1 soccer team and I love knowing all of the drama that happens off the pitch in the soccer leagues in Europe. I created this blog in order to summarize all current events that happen and display them in an organized fashion. I will update it twice a week and any day there is a huge game of a big news story. FYI, I am a huge Manchester United fan.
